Fortuna
You throw your dice, you spend them on cards, you call the wave. Then the line you built either holds or it doesn’t.
Fortuna is a card-and-dice tactics roguelike. Thirty waves, one keep, and a hand that is dealt once and never again — play a card and it is gone, so every plan is a real choice instead of a shuffle.
Free · plays in your browser · about half an hour a run · six languages
The run is three acts, and each act is a place on the map
- Waves 1–10 — the goblin hut. One kind, then a fast one, then a ranged one, then one that runs straight past your line. The Troll ends the act.
- Waves 11–20 — the fish hut opens. Sharks out of the water, and a bomb fish. The Minotaur is not the Troll with more health — it is a clock.
- Waves 21–30 — the cave opens. Its raiders come in pairs that swap every wave, so two waves running are never the same fight. The Panda is last.
A camp that is no longer the newest doesn’t stop — it keeps sending its staple. So the goblins are still there on wave 28, as the background, while the wave itself belongs to the cave.
And the camps can be hit back. Only once the fighting has started, while the raid is out — and a camp you break stops sending whatever was still inside it.
What is in it
- 5 dice faces, 14 cards, 15 kinds of raider (3 of them bosses) — and no blank die face: every face buys something
- Two economies that never mix — soldiers cost dice, buildings cost gold
- 5 keep buildings, 4 levels each, and a level lifts the soldiers already standing on the field
- 5 khanates, one advantage each, picked before the run — one of them is a trade, not a gift
- A permanent boon at the end of every act: three offered, one kept for the rest of the run
- Three difficulties that are four readable rules — dice, hand size, picks per wave, undo. The raiders are identical in all three; there is no hidden multiplier
- The next wave is written down before you commit — kind, count, total health, and what it can do to your wall
- A 15-page rule book inside the game — every raider, every card, every number, in your language
Controls
Mouse for everything. If you’d rather not:
- 1–9 pick a card · R reroll · Space call the wave, then change speed
- Esc cancel, then pause · H rule book · F fullscreen · M main menu
Your run saves itself at the start of every wave, so you can close the tab and come back to it.

Thanks. Interesting game concept.
Hi! Thanks for playing and for the support! I'm currently working on v2 of the game, so if you have any ideas, feedback, or suggestions for improvement, I'd love to hear them!
